Socks Delivered + Tracking Info

Hey guys, 

Hope you're doing great and enjoying 2023 so far! Sorry this update is a few weeks overdue, just had a lot going on over here in Bangkok. 

Personal Update

Since the last update, a lot has happened. I proposed to my long term partner (she said yes!), moved into our new house, had tonnes of cheap IKEA style furniture to build and got a new puppy. A mixed breed dog born on the streets and rescued by a dog shelter. Her name is Luna and so far she and our other dog Teddy are getting along great. I also have an office for the first time ever, so can really focus now on getting 2 or even 3 projects out in a year now. 

Socks Delivered!

Ofcourse the big news for you is that all the socks on this project were shipped sometime between December 15th and January 10th. So I would hope atleast 80% have arrived by now. Some countries do take a lot longer than others. The UK, US and Israel are very fast, as well as much of Europe. Scandinavian countries are maybe the slowest at 10-25 days (and the most expensive too). I used a more premium service for most packages that speeds things up and gets all taxes paid on this end. 

Tracking Numbers

If you havent received your socks yet, please take a look first in your email inbox. You should have an email called 'Delivery Note' that will contain the tracking number. Put that into any tracking site to see where your package is. If it hasnt arrived after a couple more weeks, please get in touch and i'll try to find it.

Problems/Issues

I'm aware of atleast one mistake i made with an order. If you have one, please message me via kickstarter messages and i'll try to resolve it as soon as i can.

Next project

In Thailand ive been running weekly boardgame and videogame meetups (which you guys are welcome to join if you take a holiday here). So i'm looking forward to launching Boardgame Socks in the next couple of weeks! It would mean the world to me if you could take a look when it comes out, and consider backing, even if just for a few pairs or even if you later cancel. Its fine, it all helps with the Kickstarter algorithm.

Hey guys,

Hope youre doing well. We're long overdue an update, so just want to let you know how we're doing and what the progress is so far. 

Backerkit

Thank you guys for embracing the Backerkit surveys. I think around 100 extra pairs of previous designs were added. Much more than i expected. So i'll be sure to use them again. Hopefully the surveys were easier to use as well. 

But I think around 9 people still havent returned their survey. Please get in touch if you havent filled it in yet. 

Production

Our socks production began early last week. A little behind schedule. It's scheduled to take around 25 days, but could be sooner. Unfortunately with China still locking down these days, we've been impacted a bit. Hard to believe they're still doing that late in 2022. 

I hope to have them ready to ship late in November and get them to your door in time for Christmas.  Air shipping times to USA and UK in particular are quite fast these days. To EU its a bit longer but still usually 10-15 days or shorter.

Next Project

As I mentioned before, Boardgame socks are coming next. After this project has successfully shipped, then i'll prepare for the long delayed boardgame project. Please let me know if you have any smart ideas for games that could make a good design. It's been really tricky, but we have 6 or 7 so far. 

Personal Update

For anyone interested, i've been living in Bangkok for 2.5 years now. Have a 1 year old cocker spaniel called Teddy and really enjoying life out here. Feel free to get in touch if you ever visit this part of the world. I've been running boardgame and videogame meetup events twice a week here and that has been going really well. I had also been planning to open a hostel here, but tourism hasnt come back in a big way yet. So we're giving up the building and focusing more online. Thanks again for supporting my sock projects, i appreciate each and every backer so much! I'll try to come up with even better designs in the future. There's plenty more to come!
